hobbyDB, the world’s fastest-growing collectible database, is getting a further boost with the addition of thousands of Soviet-era diecast cars including Moskvitches, Ladas, ZILs and some fascinating copies and repops of vintage diecast from Models of Yesteryear, Solido, Politoys and Mebetoys.
The models, all of which are 1/43 or therabouts, were mostly produced by the Donetsk Toy Factory and Saratov/Radon/Tantal from the 1970s onwards and were distributed by the former state export agency Novoexport. At least 2,300 different records will be added, courtesy of community member Yurii Chernyavin, who is a long-time collector and dealer of these models, and prolific hobbyDB contributer Stroget.
