Mattel’s increasingly popular Brick Shop line has announced its first collaboration with Audi, debuting build-them-yourself models of the classic B5 Avant RS2 and R8 LMS. As usual, both will come packaged with diecast Hot Wheels versions. These two models were selected for their iconic designs, importance to the Audi heritage and thriving following among car fanatics.

The Avant RS2 was sold only in 1994 and 1995 and still has a huge cult following. The authentic blue Brick Shop model is in 1/32 scale and features four opening doors. It also features Toyo Proxes R888R tires alongside a Hot Wheels signature metal plate and the ability to customize the model with unique decals and OEM licensed wheels.

Winner of some of the world’s most prestigious endurance races, including an astonishing seven victories at the 24 Horus of Nürburgring, the R8 LMS was the first model from Audi Sport Customer Racing. Built to FIA GT3 specifications, many of the cars remain in use today. The Brick Shop model is in huge 1/16 scale and features opening doors and engine hatch with engine detail and working steering. Like the Avant, it comes with plenty of custom options. These include interchangeable decals, splitters, spoilers and an extra set of metal wheel covers plus a Hot Wheels signature metal plate.

Hot Wheels, Audi and Brick Shop aficionados who are in Southern California can get a pre-release in-person look at these new models at the Hot Wheels Legends Tour interactive experience in El Segundo on October 4th.
