The Corgi Model Club’s latest release – the hugely popular ’59 Chevrolet Impala Sedan in civilian livery – is now available from the Model Club Site.
Originally issued in the late 1960s, almost a decade after the real car, this model was a retooling of the earlier issue – a testament to the model’s success.
This second version split the casting in two along the waistline so as to allow for chrome-plated plastic side trim and bumpers. The first version of the model had the body cast as one piece, including bumpers and trim.
The model is available in tan and cream. The Model Club has already produced the Police Patrol Car version of the model which is also still available.
