When it comes to iconic movie cars, it’s hard to beat James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5, first seen in Goldfinger. And when it comes to iconic miniatures, there’s the Corgi version of that same car.
Both came with a dazzling array of gadgets and weapons cleverly concealed to look like a run-of-the-mill Aston Martin. (Just kidding… there is no such thing as a run-of-the-mill DB5.) Corgi’s 1/43-scale model managed to cram in just about every gadget seen in the film.
Mini GT has just announced a new line of Bond movie cars and logically started with the same car. What’s most impressive here is this car is only 1/64-scale! It features the pop-up rear window shield and the bumperettes that poke out on command. Okay, it lacks the working ejector seat revolving license plates, and a few other options, but still, ya gotta admire it!

Model GT plans to unveil more of the Bond cars at Spielwarenmesse in January 2025. Ron Ruelle, Creative Director & Wheelman of the Model Car Hall of Fame will be on hand at the event (aka The Nuremberg Toy Fair) and will try to snag photos (and models) if possible.
