Hot Wheels has cooked up a crazy new 1/64 car, the Mobil 1 Porsche Dirtmeister. Porsche created the real thing from a 1987 944 by lifting it, putting offroad running gear on it, and adding massive roof racks on it. Speaking of roofs, they also wagon-ized it, eschewing the original fastback styling.
The real thing is a fully-functioning rally car, driven by factory-sponsored driver Patrick Long. The concept was originally sketched by Dmitriy Shakhmatov.
Hot Wheels captures the very dark black scheme with its eye-popping graphics and sponsor livery. It’s a Red Line Club and part of the Mattel Creations Collaboratory and retails for $20 if you act fast.
