Hot Wheels Calls in Airwolf to save Pop Culture Line

Castheads Magazine contributor write to us about this:

As much as we love Hot Wheels, it was clear to see the POP Culture was getting staler than the air trapped in…. (leave it to your imagination). Finally, FINALLY!!!! If I could shout it out from the top of the world, we have a much-wanted casting that makes it return to the Hot Wheels label with an international release as opposed to the Japan-only CharaWheels release in 2004. You know the one.

Fans of the ’80s and ’90s TV series have already had it with the…

Knight Rider releases, that cow is squeezed dry. Batmobiles in so many colours, a PANTONE colour guide is needed to grade the releases.

The A-Team van is a little trickier, especially the one with the Real Riders.

Fast ‘N’ Furious have become such a bad peg warmer that some supermarket chains have caught fire.

We are ready for an update, a new casting, and my mind is blown. At first, it was too good to be true. Now I need to pre-order two of these, one for opening and the other to add to the shrine of Air Wolf.

The bad news! The younger generation has cottoned on to the fact that our generation is going to want this significant time, and like little sharks that smell blood in the water, the global scalper community are wringing their fingers in escalated online pricing excitement, waiting patiently to choke supply.

But would it be worth it? Die-hard Airwolf and Hot Wheels fans are going to gobble this up, which will introduce Hot Wheels to a whole new Market. This is how brands like Hot Wheels diversify their customer base. POP CULTURE. Works every time. And there are just enough Airwolf fans in the world to give this a cult status like the A-Team van.

Let’s hope they don’t get the license to do color variations. And our thoughts on the news, ABOUT D^%$ TIME!
