Not gonna lie, one of the best parts of working in the diecast industry is playing with toy cars. Sure, the Model Car Hall of Fame focuses on collectible pieces of art here, some of them quite expensive. But who can resist sending a few 1/64 vehicles down some orange track?

Our friends at hobbyDB are working on tackling the record, and what better place than their home base of Colorado? They have proposed the road up to Pikes Peak (or down from, more like it!). Or closer to home, the protected bike lanes on the road from Nederland to Boulder, which is downhill every inch of the way from Ned.

They originally started to stir up some intest a few years ago when COVID shut down everything fun. Now seems like the time to try it again.Check out the details here! They are looking for financial support for the project, and also volunteers who want to travel to the Centennial State to help set it up and monitor the track!

Thanks, Rob! You should come back to Colorado when we are doing it!
