Lego my Lambo! Get Ready to Build the Countach of Your Dreams!

If you are of a certain age, you had a poster of a Lamborghini Countach on your bedroom or dorm room wall. It was ridiculous, cool, and aspirational as a post-graduation goal.

Since that poster was likely as close as you ever got to owning one, we have good news. Lego is now offering a kit of the Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole, the highest-performance version of the late-era cars.

The model uses copious straight and flat parts to capture the wedgy shape with incredible accuracy. Aside from the Lotus Esprit or the Tesla Cybertruck, there isn’t a car better suited to Lego.

This Countach is not as huge as their hyper-complicated Porsche 911 GT3-RS, but the next size down. This Icons series set is in scale akin to their earlier 1967 Shelby Mustang and VW T-2 Camper Bus. For such a flat shape, there is a lot of detail, especially around the back end. Also, under the hood rests a savage-looking engine bay. The red interior is the best part of the car, full of detail.

Lego’s Lambo has just over 1,500 parts and sells for $179 on their site. The car will go on sale July 4, but Lego Insiders can order it a few days early. So you have time to sign up. You’ve been waiting 40 years or so, so why wait any longer?
