Do you ever wonder how a diecast company decides to make a model of a fairly obscure, low-production car? What convinces them to invest a lot of time and money into the molds and graphics for say, a Nissan Cefiro as Majorette just did?
Well, it doesn’t hurt if someone with some clout at the model company owns an example of the car and really wants to see it come to life in miniature. That’s sort of how Majorette decided to make the Cefiro. Christy Louis, a company ambassador, drives one of these hot sports coupes and lobbied for its production in 1/64 scale.
