There has been an explosion of diecast-related media online over the past few years, especially on YouTube. Where once we had the occasional random video of someone racing their model cars down a track and crashing in spectacular fashion, we now have entire channels related to such carnage.
Of course, there is much more to diecast content these days. Unboxing videos, restoration videos, deep dives into brand history. Diecast Media Network through its various channels does all that and more. While the content is all in fun, they do a great job taking the hobby seriously. All of these make Diecast Media Network the Model Car Hall of Fame 2024 Content Creator of the Year.
Diecast Breakdown is their flagship channel, a video podcast where they interview experts, influencers, and innovators in all things Diecast. You can easily fall down a rabbit hole of model car content by clicking on one interview after another.
Diecast Media Network also features Flying Valiant Builds, which features how-to and in-process videos about weathered barn finds and wild customs. There is something soothing about watching a seasoned expert diligently working on a complicated build. Did we mention they also have a lot of fun with that?
The Network also includes Destination Diecast: a travelogue about the best places in the world to find collectible diecast cars, and much more. If you can make a living traveling the world hunting for diecast, wouldn’t you? If not, the next best thing is watching such content.
For taking fun so seriously, (and making serious stuff fun), Diecast Media Network is the Model Car Hall of Fame’s Content Creator of the Year for 2024.
