Carmodel.com falls somewhere in between those extremes, filling an interesting niche of hard-tp-find models and more common diecast at reasonable prices. For filling this niche for collectors, Carmodel.com is the Dealer of the Year for the Model Car Hall of Fame for 2024.
Carmodel.com is a fairly new website based in Italy, specializing in, well, all sorts of diecast. Their site is easy to sort by scale, model company, marque, or other factors. If you’re a qualified dealer, they have a wholesale section for you to peruse.
Carmodel has a surprising number of used or vintage items for sale. Obviously, that sort of inventory would be in constant flux, so it’s worth checking out on a regular basis. For good measure, they also dabble in Lego sets and diecast display accessories. And they have a discounted section of some slightly less-than-perfect models at a discount if you’re willing to deal.
They have shipping rates for Italy and the rest of Europe listed on the site. Outside of those areas, they can get a quote if you’re interested. Either way, it’s worth a peek to see if they have something you just can’t find elsewhere.
