The Model Car Hall of Fame is thrilled to announce that Paolo Rampini, one of the world’s leading experts in diecast, has joined our Selection Committee.
Paolo is the author of 38 collector books, including the Golden Book of Model Cars (1995) and Slotcars Made in Europe: 1930 – 1980 (2003), as well as volumes on diecast made in Italy, Japan, Hong Kong and America.
His most recent book, Model Cars in the World (2007) holds the record for most individual cars photographed, approximately 16,000.
An avid diecast collector, he got started as a writer for hobby publications in the mid-1960s, leading him to create his concise collector guidebooks. Paolo was inducted into the Model Car Hall of Fame in 2023, as Model Car Historian of the Year.
