The model car collector season gets off to a big start this weekend with the 2025 Las Vegas Diecast Super Con. The event is held in the Ahern Hotel and Convention Center at 300 W Sahara Ave, Las Vegas, Nevada from Thursday, February 20 through Sunday, February 23.
The Super Con hits a sweet spot for a lot of collectors. It’s not just about a specific brand, but it is strictly about model and toy cars as opposed to a general toy collectors show. The event was one of the nominees for Event of the Year for the 2025 Model Car Hall of Fame 2024 awards.
Tickets are available for all four days, but can also be had for individual days as well. Admission is $20 for adults on Thursday and Friday, $30 on Saturday, and just $15 on Sunday. It’s nice that the show doesn’t separate collectors from too much of their cash before they even get in the door.
The event is sponsored by Jada and Majorette but features any and all brands of diecast.
Guests include several model car designers such as Brendan Vetuskey, Gary Gopinath, Abe Lugo, Luis Tanahara, and Sean Taylor. The event also features exclusive models for purchase.
