What Would The Easter Bunny Drive?

Like Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny has to get around the world fast in one night. So let’s say he needs a car of some sort because the whole sleigh thing is kinda taken already. Let’s go ahead and call this mythical car the “Easter.” Without context, that’s an objectively cool name for a car. Sounds directional, maybe even adventurous. Also, kind of breezy and smooth. The name can work. In fact, it works beautifully with several car companies.

So who would make it? Based on the name alone, here are three logical choices for someone to manufacture this car.

Lotus Easter – Lotus loves names that start with “E.” They’ve gone with such nomenclature since their earliest days, so why stop now?

Eclat, Elan, Eleven, Elise, Eletre, Elite, Esprit, Euorpa, Evora, Excel, Exige… Even their concept cars go with the theme… Emotion, Eterne, Ethos, Etna.

Easy fit, isn’t it?

Chrysler Easter  Kind of rolls off the tongue doesn’t it? But here’s a weird little thing to think about… There have been a ton of Chrysler vehicles with names ending in “ER.” Consider:

• Chrysler (New Yorker, Prowler, PT Cruiser, Voyager)

• Desoto (Adventurer)

• Dodge (Avenger, Caliber, Challenger, Charger, Lancer, Ramcharger, Viper, Wayfarer) Now that we think about it, shouldn’t that division be called Dodger?

• Jeep (Commander, Wagoneer, Wrangler),

• Plymouth (Duster, Laser, Prowler, Roadrunner, Voyager)

What could be better?

Buick Easter – You may not have noticed this trend, but Buick has used a lot of seven-letter names for their cars over the years, so why not Easter? Ready?

Cascada, Century, Eastera, Electra, Enclave, Envista, Excelle, Invicta, LeSabre, Limited, Lucerne, Park Ave., Riviera, Skyhawk, Skylark, Special, Wildcat.

Lucky 7, lucky rabbit’s foot. This can work.

Most miniature models of a car driven by a bunny seem to be based on eggs or carrots, both of which can be adapted for interesting automotive design. The question is, who would build those? Let us know in the comments!

(By the way, did anyone notice that “Easter” only has six letters? But we snuck “Eastera” into the Buick list. There’s an egg for you!)
